With the City of London office market continuing to strengthen, investment levels are rising to their pre-recession heights and only look set to increase with the influx of both domestic and overseas investors interested in the opportunities London can provide.
This trend is reflected in the recent reports that Henderson Global Investors and Anglesea Capital have this week gone under offer to purchase New London House, EC3 (pictured). The price is thought to be £48.5 million for the 85,000 square feet building, which if correct reflects an initial yield of 6.2 %.
The building is home to 16 tenants including high-profile firms such as Regus, HSB Underwriting and Omega Underwriting. The average rent is c. £42 per square foot.
