Newton Perkins’ client Brookfield Property Partners has submitted a scoping report to the City planning department to convert Leadenhall Court, 1 Leadenhall Street, EC3 from its current 100,000 sq ft low-rise into a 400,000 sq ft tower. The building is currently occupied as a temporary home for Amazon until it moves into Principal Place, another Brookfield development.
Brookfield purchased the building from Hammerson in 2013 and the scoping report outlines Brookfield’s plan to construct a 33 floor office tower on the site, which if permitted will stand 170 metres high and comprise 398,264 sq ft of offices as well as 30,000 sq ft of retail space.
Newton Perkins is appointed as joint letting agent with Cushman & Wakefield.
