Brexit > Trump

According to Propertyweek, small and medium-sized businesses are not too concerned with the impact of President Trump’s new US Administration but feel that Brexit is likely to affect their outlook on lease lengths.

A survey of around a thousand SME chief executives found that when considering new office space in the City of London there is now an increased preference for a lease term of less than three years, whilst there has also been an increase of firms looking for a lease of less than a year. 

The above goes hand in hand with the increase in occupiers looking for fitted out accommodation.
