Law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has signed an
agreement to prelet 100 Bishopsgate, EC2, a prime city office building owned by
Brookfield Property Partners.
Freshfields is one of the world’s largest law firms and has been seeking a move from its current locations at 65 Fleet Street, EC4 and 28 Tudor Street, EC4. The prelet of 250,000 sq ft at 100 Bishopsgate represents a considerable reduction in the company’s London office space.
100 Bishopsgate is due to complete in 2018 and is now 71% prelet; and along with the total of 2m sq ft of space let by Brookfield in the past 36 months is a testament to the strength of the City of London office space market.
