British Land / Oxford Properties have announced a second major letting of their under construction “Cheesegrater” high rise tower opposite Lloyds.
Insurance company Amlin is reported to have agreed terms to lease 111,000 sq ft over levels 18-24 plus the highest 45th level with an option over a further 37,000 sq ft. Amlin will relocate in early 2015.
The building is now 50% pre-let following Aon’s pre-letting of the lower parts of the building announced earlier in 2012.
The latest announcement is further testimony to the willingness of insurers to forward lease prime EC3 buildings, following on from the success of pre-lettings at 20 Fenchurch Street.
